Property: Orange or yellow, bitter taste, easy to be deliquesced, decomposed and release hydrogen disulfide at melting point, soluble in water and alcohols, water solution present strongly alkaline,  generate hydrogen disulfide when reacting with acids.

Application: Used in the copper ore beneficiation, in the sulfurous acid dyeing of manmade fibre, in the synthesis of organic intermediates, in the preparation of auxiliary agent of sulfur dyes, and in the waste water treatment; It is the raw material to produce ammonium sulphate and ethanethiol.
